Help Ensure Every Voice in Long-Term Care Is Heard
This year marks an important milestone for the Alliance as we launch our first annual appeal. For decades, our work has quietly strengthened long-term care communities across the state. Now, during a time of growing need, we invite you to partner with us in protecting and uplifting some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

Alliance Mission Statement
The Alliance for Better Long Term Care provides programs that advocate for the rights, dignity, and quality of life of Rhode Island’s older adults, caregivers, and all individuals receiving long-term care services. Through education, direct support, community programs, and collaborative advocacy, we empower those we serve with the tools, information, and representation they need to thrive.

Our Programs
RI State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (RISLTCOP)
Individuals receiving long term care services are among the most frail and vulnerable. At times, they need help to improve their quality of life and care. Ombudsmen work to resolve these problems and effect change at the local, state, and national levels to improve quality of care.
Building Bridges Intergenerational Program
Connecting Generations. Enriching Lives.
For more than 20 years, Building Bridges has brought students and nursing home residents together through shared activities that reduce isolation, build empathy, and create meaningful relationships rooted in dignity, connection, and quality of life.
